Situated at Casa Merah, this apartment’s lack of colour does not necessarily mean lack of character. In fact this fun apartment has its character carved out stylishly with its rather unusual modern Japanese design living spaces by Astley Ng and Dave Sim of Soho Arc Interiors + Studio ARC.
The dramatic modern Japanese interiors of this apartment is visually stunning and functional in its use of space. The owner who was unusually inspired by interiors of restaurants in Japan wanted his home filled with platforms and concealed spaces.
Taking the owners request into consideration, Soho Arc interior designers started the dining area with modern contemporary look on a raised platform with black grids on glass lighted floors. The walls surrounding the dining area were covered with mirrors that made the dining space sleek and classy.
The apartments other design feature is the arched ceiling that envelopes the Tv console and the sitting area.

The master bedroom has a raised floor as a reading area and a wood paneled feature wall. The use of wood and raised floor unifies the theme of the modern japanese interior design, with the rest of the apartment.
The bedroom is given a touch of romance with pastel shades of cream and white, complemented by the sheer curtains and the wood laminate floor.
