Buildings for the Shanghai World Expo 2010 was designed by Italian Architect Mario Occhiuto. The project preserves the original structure and shape of the sheds, while renovating them with a new surface that can function as thermal barrier, projection screen and illumination. The newly designed annexed buildings are integrated in the existing structure, connecting the square outside with the pavilions of the Expo through a series of external, internal and suspended walkways with a mitigated climate.
